Set of 4 Vintage West Virginia Glass Specialty game bird tumblers

West Virginia Glass Specialty Company, often referred to as WVGS, was a prominent American glassware manufacturer known for its decorative and functional pieces. Founded in 1945, the company produced a wide array of pressed and blown glass items, including tableware, decorative art glass, and novelty items, often featuring hand-painted or applied decorations. Their "optic" molded glass, characterized by its wavy or ribbed texture, was a popular design element. Ned Smith was a renowned wildlife artist whose illustrations were frequently featured on decorative items, including glassware, during the mid-20th century, adding significant artistic appeal to these pieces.
